BBC's Jesuit Show Will Be Called Apparitions

Ex-Casualty medic in saintly drama
Ever wondered what happened to former Casualty star Elyes Gabel? Well, he hasn't dropped off the face of the earth - in fact he's set to make a return to the small screen in a new drama for the BBC.

Apparitions stars Martin Shaw and, according to Lime Pictures, the company behind it, he plays "a Jesuit priest, working for the Congregation for the Causes of the Saints to investigate miraculous happenings and promoting candidates to Sainthood". "He is drawn into the world of exorcisms when a 10-year-old girl approaches him, convinced that her father is possessed by a demon."

It's unclear what role Gabel - who played handsome medic Guppy in the BBC medical drama - will play.
