Fr. Don Doll, S.J. Photographer

Doll has photographed American Indians for more than 30 years. His subjects have included Aspen and D'Von LaPointe from the Red Cloud Indian School on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. They were photographed in 2007. Marquette University's Haggerty Museum of Art is exhibiting

"The Grandeur of God: Photographs by Don Doll, S.J."

through April 13. Doll, a professor of journalism at Creighton University, is Marquette's Wade Scholar Lecturer for the spring 2008 semester. For more than 30 years he has photographed American Indians, particularly the Lakota Sioux. He also has followed the trail of Lewis and Clark, and photographed many refugees and landmine victims for the Jesuit Refugee Service. His work has appeared in several of the "Day in the Life" photo collections and in the National Geographic magazine.
